“If it’s not online, it doesn’t exist.”
Every organization, no matter how small, needs to be visible online in order to survive, much less to grow or thrive. If you lead a faith-based or non-profit organization you may know this, but still not have the time, skills, or resources to build a thriving social media presence. I understand the dilemma — I spent three decades serving small churches. There are many demands on a leader’s time.
Let me offer a solution: you could hire a part-time social media manager. (And yes, she’s my daughter!)
Social media can provide:
- weekly reinforcement of your core message
- consistent connection with your congregants and supporters as they engage with your voice and each other
- visuals and copy to help you find your people in a world that is increasingly niched and far-flung
A part-time Social Media Manager can:
- create content and write posts (e.g. FB and IG) that reflect your organization’s voice and values
- maintain a content calendar and schedule posts in advance so your platforms stay active and consistent
- share event updates and announcements clearly and effectively
With increasing hours, a Social Media Manager can also:
- monitor comments and engagement
- provide data as to which types of posts drive higher levels of engagement
