Lent Pilgrimage, Palm Sunday

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel! ~John 12:13

The Palm Sunday Chapel marks the place where Jesus is believed to have begun his triumphal journey on a donkey. Inside, the walls of the chapel are painted all around with life-sized frescoes of people waving palms. The people are in sepia tones and only Jesus, on the front wall, is in color. I feel as if I have gone back in time and entered the story. Our group sings All Glory, Laud, and Honor, and I imagine I am one of the children, whose sweet lips sang praises.

How might you enter the spirit of adoration this Palm Sunday?

Prayer: O Lord, I adore you with a child’s heart.
