I collaborated with Eileen Campbell-Reed to create a 4-session workshop for leaders (both clergy and lay) who want to do a better job responding to sexual abuse in their ministry contexts. This was a powerful experience!
Workshop Available Online as Self-Paced Learning
The live workshop is past and is now available as a series of self-paced sessions. There are five session videos, twenty handouts and numerous ideas and resources. Together these materials offer support, learning and guidance to help you prevent and respond to sexual abuse in church contexts. The workshop includes a free copy of my book, The #MeToo Reckoning. Broadly speaking, the session topics include:
- Challenging Patriarchy and Power
- Empowering Prevention and Response
- Reimagining Ritual and Liturgy
- Envisioning a New Beloved Community
Read more and order at Eileen’s online shop. There is a particularly fabulous deal if you’re a student because it includes a free book, so pass the word to any seminarians in your orbit!
How This Collaboration Began
How do collaborations like this happen? In this case, I asked a rather vulnerable question in a writing group (on Facebook) and Eileen Campbell-Reed responded. Read the back story here.
